celebration for Link...

Have I mentioned that I have the BEST sisters ever?!? Seriously, I am one lucky girl. They spoiled me with such an amazing shower this past weekend and I left feeling so loved by everyone that was able to make it out. We had it at my brother in laws parents house because they have the space to hold everyone, and they have an amazing backyard. Anyway, I had about 30 people there including myself and it was so fun to see people from high school and even jr high that I havent seen in forever! I am NOT a fan of shower games...especially the whole "how big do you think the tummy is...(seriously, whoever came up with that idea is INSANE) so luckily my sisters know me really well and we played 3 different totally chill games. One of them was REALLY hard, it was this sonogram game where you have to guess what the arrows are pointing too...yeah I didn't play it because I only knew what literally ONE picture was! We had a yummy brunch and an amazingly delicious cake (White with raspberry filling is my FAVORITE) then it was onto the most awkward part of sitting in front of everyone and opening gifts. Okay, so I hate it because 1. everyone is looking at you 2. you have to pretend to LOVE everything 3. I have the WORST reaction face/response...Shaun gets on me for it EVERY time and 4. I never know if I am supposed to hold up everything or just quickly open it and push it aside. Anyway, I dont like it and I am pretty sure I was up front for an hour (okay probably more like 30 minutes but it felt like FOREVER). I will say though, I am EXTREMELY lucky to have so many special in my life. They spoiled me rotten with the gifts for Link! We walked away with so many diapers (19 packages/boxes to be exact) and so many wonderful things. People were very generous and gave us gift cards to get whatever we didn't get that we needed, and with that money and the few returns we had to make, we have been able to get NEARLY everything off our registry! So to those of you who were able to make it out to the shower, or who have sent something to us for our little boy that is going to join the Lezer family SOON...we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! My one complaint is that I wish I had more time to go around to all the people and talk to them all for a longer amount of time. I dont think you EVER have enough time to do that though! Oh well...for now I look forward to a dr appointment tomorrow to see how close I am to meeting this little guy!!! I am DYING looking at all his stuff...without him in it! :)
